Job Purpose

Responsible for managing and reporting financial information for the real estate development company, including maintaining accurate records, preparing financial reports, conducting audits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing budgetary controls.

Principal Accountabilities

Financial Reporting

• Generate project-specific profit and loss reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze accounts (AP/AR, advances, retentions, etc.) by vendor/customer.

General Accounting

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
• Conduct bank, AP, and AR reconciliations.
• Oversee invoicing, payment processing, and collections.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist in annual budget and financial forecast preparation.
• Provide financial insights for project budgeting and cost control.

Compliance and Auditing

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
• Support external audits and tax filings.
• Maintain internal controls for accuracy and asset security.

Real Estate Development Tasks

• Track and report project costs relative to budgets.
• Reconcile development project accounts.
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial analyses for new projects.
• Manage financial aspects of acquisitions, sales, and leases.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA preferred).
• Knowledge of real estate development and property management accounting practices is advantageous.

Experience

• 8–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in D365 and Excel.
• Expertise in variance analysis, account reconciliation, and financial procedures.
• Strong communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
